The club have recently been awarded funding from various bodies including the Welsh Goverment, Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council, Lif, Wren and Valleys Heart & Soul to redevelop the site into one of the premier trotting race tracks in the United Kingdom.

The proposal involved extending the track to the national half-mile standard and floodlighting which, in turn, has attracted more prestigious race meetings, additional television coverage and sponsorship opportunities. Other elements include a 75 seat grandstand, office space, toilets and changing facilities.



The overall aim is to complement existing activities, particularly equestrian events, and increase revenue streams by widening the appeal and uses.
